Merry Christmas from the Code 43: Urban Warfare team!!

Hoping you are all enjoying your Christmas day, and received everything you asked Santa for, we regret to inform you that the pre-alpha release has been postponed until January 1st.

There are several reasons for the delay, and we’re still debating over whether or not it will be a public or internal release. We’ll provide some new screenshots and videos during the coming week.

What we’ve been up to last months

First I want to say hi to all our visitors and say a few words about us, our project and then briefly show you some of our work.

We are an international team of devs arisen from TCE community after it was clear that there will be no further development of TCE.
Our project Code 43: Urban Warfare will be a standalone open source game for Linux and windows platform (MAC version will be on the ToDo list a bit later) based on the XreaL game engine.
The engine supports some really nice graphic effects, bump maps, specular maps, cubemap reflections, dispersion maps, pixel shaders (heathaze, realistic rendering of liquids using fresnel effect) being some of them. (For complete list of features please GoTo:
Current status of the game is far from alpha release – right now we have our own (standalone) binaries, most of the texture library, 3 weapon models in skinning stage, rough player model, some mapobject models and 4 maps that we are working on them.
Our member is also recording weapon sounds. First non-public alpha version is planned for the end of the year 2009.
